...OK, maybe won't is the wrong word. Can't? Incapable? Clueless? Given up on the transaction and their client? - Lets stick with won't.
So I found myself this afternoon on the phone, on hold, trying to an update on a short sale from the 3rd negotiator that is being utilized by the listing company since the contract was ratified last August. And after all of this, I never got to actually speak with the "negotiator", never got a real update.
To the agents reading this, you have probably all gone through something similar with regards to the short sale process. It is common place and sad to say - the norm in many cases.
But we can not lose site of the 2 parties that truly matter. The seller that is trying to follow the allowed rules and work out an arrangement with the bank and,
then we get to the client that our Team is trying to represent, the purchaser, or would be purchaser in this case. You see, their lease is coming to an end and they are at a decision point that they did not foresee last August when they found the home that they were looking for. Month to Month is too expensive and the reasonable thing to do is to take on another year of a lease.
Now, if we had an update, they may be able to decide to hang in a bit longer, pay the difference for another month. But no updates, no communication, a whole bunch of Won't and our client Won't get the home they want.
Please, can we give updates and remember those that truly matter, the clients and their wants and needs.
Note I said WANTS AND NEEDS, Not WON'TS.
